The McHenry County advocate for the education community

The mission of the Regional Office of Education #44 is to engage youth across McHenry County in schools and educational programs that promote regular student attendance, secure the benefits of best practice professional development, ensure a safe and secure environment for student learning, and assure compliance with the regulations of the school code of Illinois representative of an excellent education essential for success in the world of work and in life.

 

Educator of the year nominations will be a joint effort of teachers and administrators. A cooperative effort will strengthen this program, which is designed to honor outstanding members of the profession and promote awareness of the quality education being provided in our schools.

We offer resources for educators

The McHenry County Regional Office of Education acts as an advocate for education by providing positive leadership, performing regulatory functions directed by the Illinois School Code and the Illinois State Board of Education, coordinating and delivering state and local services, and disseminating information for educators, school districts, and the community.
